SHARED STORIES | CLOSING DRINKS

JOIN US between 5.00pm - 8.00pm on Friday 17th October for a friendly and informal gathering to raise a glass to our 'Shared Stories Vol 2' exhibition. No booking or rsvp; you are welcome to invite friends and just turn up on the day.

This exhibition has opened alongside (& benefitted from) the British Ceramics Biennial (BCB 2025). It offers a mix of exquisite encaustic tiles and unusual studio ceramics created and curated by artists Danny Callaghan (Ceramic City Stories) & Craig Peebles (Welby & Wright). The work reflects their long creative collaboration driven by a shared love for tiles and architectural ceramics.

The event also offers a final opportunity to visit Winkhill Mill and peek into an historical Stoke-on-Trent tile manufactory. The Firing Line produces dust pressed tiles using traditional techniques and 100 year old cast iron machinery. Visitors will be able to see the production space, presses, kilns and tiles.

10 minutes walk from Stoke-on-Trent Railway Station and BCB 2025 at SpodeWorks. Free and unrestricted parking is to be found adjacent to the building and in neighbouring streets (although it can be busy during weekdays).

Access is limited to this historical industrial building. It involves a number of steps and two floor levels (former loading bay). Unfortunately, it is not suitable for people who use a wheelchair. However, some areas could be accessed with prior discussion and agreement regarding an alternative door and arrangements. To discuss possibilities, please email Danny: hello@ceramiccitystories.info
