Celebrate the past: look to the future

Join us for an informal early evening reception & drinks event at one of the city’s hidden gems! Visitors are invited to explore an eclectic mix of historic & contemporary tiles & exquisite (re)drawings exhibited in a traditional ceramic tile works.

This exciting exhibition has been created and curated by artists Danny Callaghan (Stoke- on-Trent) and Craig Peebles (Edinburgh). It reflects a two-year creative collaboration driven by a shared love for tiles and architectural ceramics. Guests will be able to meet and chat with the two artists during the event.

Visitors will also be able to glimpse behind the scenes of The Firing Line, a manufacturer that still produces ‘dust press’ tiles using 100 year old technology and traditional techniques. We hope you enjoy this collection of new artworks, historical artefacts and shared stories. Join us for a special night on the tiles!

Celebrate the past: look to the future

Join us for an informal virtual tour of one of the city’s hidden gems! Participants will be offered a guided tour of a new exhibition displayed in the evocative surroundings of a traditional ceramic tile works.

Virtual visitors will be hosted by the two artists that created and curated the exhibition; Danny Callaghan (Stoke-on-Trent) and Craig Peebles (Edinburgh). This eclectic display includes historic and contemporary tiles, exquisite (re)drawings and fascinating archive materials.
