The Greensward Plan was created in 1858 by Calvert Vaux and Frederick Olmsted to improve and expand Central Park. "British architect Jacob Wrey Mould worked closely with them both designing many notable features including Belvedere Castle, a great number of bridges and Bethesda Terrace - the formal architectural centrepiece of Central Park."
