CLAYHEAD: Final Weekend at Winkhill Mill, Swan Street Stoke-on-Trent ST4 7RH. Ceramic City Stories & Friends will offer a friendly & relaxed ‘open factory’ weekend to celebrate the end of ‘Made in Stoke-on-Trent’ fringe programme & to mark the last two days of the British Ceramics Biennial 2021. During the weekend; visitors will be able to view the unique CLAYHEAD window showcase of nearly 50 small scale ceramic exhibits by 16 ceramic artists. Come & chat to local potters & ceramic artists about their work & our city’s creative industry (past & present). We will also be offering an opportunity to see behind the scenes of a traditional ‘dust press’ ceramic tile factory (The Firing Line) throughout the two days. There are no fixed times (or pre booking); just pop in & we’ll show you round this amazing ‘living museum’. You are welcome to pop in any time during the daytime opening hours.

KILN SONGS: You are also very welcome to join us between

5:00pm - 8:00pm on Saturday 16th October for a chilled out get together with nice people, convivial chat & live acoustic music in the evocative CLAYHEAD space. There will be nibbles & soft drinks available (please feel free to ‘bring a bottle’ if you want alcohol). Come & join us for something a little different; it would be great to see you!

The display aims to contribute to the British Ceramics Biennial (11 September - 17 October 2021) & Heritage Open Days 2021. It can be viewed ‘remotely’ from Swan Street during opening times. This collection aims to offer an eclectic, ‘self selected’ cross section of a few of the city’s many makers & some examples of their creative ceramics.

Call out for artists, craftspeople & communities involved in Stoke-on-Trent’s ceramic culture & heritage.

A series of events & pop up displays organised by independent potters, ceramic artists & other creative contributors from (or closely associated with) Stoke-on-Trent.
