*Please note: These reproduction tiles are NEW. Even with a batch of the same coloured tiles; there are always likely to be colour variations due to hand decoration techniques & even kiln position. We will always try to select & provide tiles that work together when customers order a number of the same designs. Glaze surfaces can be uneven & occasionally include ‘imperfections’. We feel this is inherent to the authenticity & character of these period reproduction tiles. Anyone who has studied original Victorian tiles will know that they were subject to even more variation & sometimes quite significant ‘blemishes’; mainly due to the somewhat imprecise nature of coal-fired bottle ovens. We respect that some people want more standard ‘perfect’ tiles. If this is the case; then perhaps these tiles aren’t for you. However, we would love you to consider them for your needs; we don’t believe you will be disappointed!
